In this course the students will learn the key tasks and functions required of an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA). They will learn how to create, start up, and monitor a database, implement basic security, add users, manage data, expand the size of the database, and data integrity measures. Students will be taught how to manage access to data by granting privileges to individual users. Students will also be taught back-up and recovery techniques as well as interactive web access to databases.
This course is designed to prepare students for the Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) DBA and the Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) DBA designations.
